Our Head Chef, David Alcock manages his team that have built up over 35 years of high quality culinary skills between them.
David Alcock
(known as Big Dave to his friends) has now worked at the Queens at Freehay for over 15 years, with 12 years of serving as the Head Chef.
Previously he was trained and worked within the Italian fine dining cuisine, alongside some of the areas top chefs.
His experience within the industry allows him to create the tantalizing dishes that gives the restaurant the reputation of one of the best within the Midlands.
David Robinson
(known as Paul to his friends) joined the team in 2011 as an apprentice chef and excelled throughout his first year.
At the end of his training he was offered a permanent position within the kitchen, with being the youngest throughout the team he helps to create fresh new ideas and tastes.
Lee Rushton
(known as Bert to his friends) has now been with the restaurant for over 10 years, previous to this he was a fully trained local butcher and brought over his knowledge of meat and fish into the kitchen.
Throughout the 10 years he has gained vast experience and has a natural flair for creating amazing dishes.
